Malta 8-11 May 2026 Faculty Residency Programme Now Available

The Graduate School of Business and Management (GSBM) is pleased to announce that the programme for the Doctoral Faculty Residency in Malta (8–11 May 2026) is now available.

The residency is designed as an intensive, in-person academic experience for doctoral supervisors, faculty, and academic leaders engaged in doctoral education. It provides a structured space for reflection, exchange, and capability development, with a particular focus on innovation and transformation in doctoral education.

Across four days, participants will engage in a carefully designed progression:

  • Day 1 – Scene Setting: A shared understanding of current systemic, institutional, and individual shortcomings in doctoral education.
  • Day 2 – Designing Alternatives: Exploration of future-ready doctoral programme structures, supervision systems, and scalable doctoral education models.
  • Day 3 – Hands-on Training: Practical, faculty-centred training with a strong focus on AI-mediated doctoral research and supervision.
  • Day 4 – Next Steps: Implementation, collaboration, and partnership building.

The residency combines plenary sessions, design workshops, applied training, and structured peer exchange. It is intended not as a conference, but as a developmental and design-oriented academic residency supporting the continued evolution of doctoral education.
